Noticy is a product that provide to control the water and energy consumption by
being involved in shower experience.
The Noticy project was designed to support sustainability.
Problem Definition
Inference made as a result of research done.
‘’People are not aware of how much water and energy they use in the shower.’’
As a result of this deduction, it was concluded that giving people the information about how much water and energy they spend at the time of showering can be important for water and energy saving.
WORKING METHOD
The Noticy product connects to the handset in the shower, allowing the user to digitally view data on water used in the shower at the time of use.
The display shows the litre value of the used water, the cost of the water used, how long the shower has lasted, and the temperature of the used water during the shower.
Noticy measures your water temperature instantly and warns you when you exceed the healthy temperature range for your body.
BENEFITS OF THE NOTICY
Save Water
Noticy shows the amount of water used to the user at the time of use and aims to make the user use less water by creating an awareness on this issue.
Save Energy
Thanks to the use of less water for the shower, more energy is saved which can be used to heat the water.
Save Money
Noticy shows on the screen the amount of money used for water and energy at the same time. The user will choose to shorten the shower time by seeing the amount of loss. In this way, less expenses are made.
Educational
Conscious use of water and energy is related to education and habits. Noticy teaches people to use consciously with a new shower experience.
Healthy Shower
Taking a shower with water at a temperature above a certain degree is harmful to health. Noticy warns the user when the temperature of the water reaches a dangerous level for human health during the shower. In this way, a healthy shower experience is provided.
SCREWLESS FIXING OPTION
Noticy is designed for use in the bathroom. In this case, it should be able to be integrated into existing objects in the bathroom in order to be able to make screwless joints for fast use. The most suitable object was determined as the shower handset holder.
Shower handset holders have a standard size. By using this size, the product is fixed by jamming it using the screw nut relation.
