Awarded as the 1st prize among the projects submitted by the design department of Roberts Radio company.
By using scientifically proven abstract forms created by light for deep meditation, the Omnia speaker ensures that people with insomnia problems do not have sleep problems by switching them to deep meditation more easily.
Design Brief
Develope a new product design concept for a bedside well-being clock radio suitable for the Roberts Radio brand. Consider interior design trends, existing products, use case scenarios, and emerging technologies. Research what "well-being" means in this context and how it can be translated into design opportunities. Reflect the values of the Roberts brand and incorporate their user archetype research.
The Double Diamond design process method was used in the development process of this project.

Literature Review
Meditation training as a treatment for insomnia
Analysis of data from 24 insomniacs recruited from the community showed both meditation and progressive relaxation to be superior to no treatment in reducing latency of sleep onset. (Robert L. Woolfolk, Lucille Carr-Kaffashan, Terrence F. McNulty, Paul M. Lehrer, 2008)
Feasibility, appropriateness, and acceptability of a mobile mindfulness meditation intervention to improve sleep quality among a racially/ethnically diverse population
’Only those participants who used the app exclusively in the evenings reported falling asleep faster and staying asleep.’’
Conclusion
Using a mobile meditation app to enhance sleep quality is acceptable and feasible.

Problem Definition
In my research, it has been discovered that one of the biggest problems experienced in bedside is sleep disorders, inability to sleep, that is, insomnia. In my literature review on this, it has been proven that meditation relaxes people during the transition to sleep and they fall asleep easier thanks to meditation. For this reason, I discussed the concept of well-being through meditation in the product I developed.
Inspired Product
While doing market research, I discovered the LightVision product designed by Layer Design. Simply put, the product is an eye patch that makes it easy for the user to go into deep meditation. I also researched the scientifically proven design logic and researched whether the features in the current product really work.
Upon this, I came to the conclusion that the light and abstract shapes provided by the product to the user accelerate the process of going into deep meditation and accelerate this stage.
LightVision
The headset features an LED light matrix that allows powerful meditation to be attained simply and effortlessly, regardless of level of experience.

Research was conducted to find out exactly how the inspired product affects the user. The effect of the functions mentioned in the inspired product on the user was investigated.
Spontaneous Visual Imagery During Meditation for Creating Visual Art: An EEG and Brain Stimulation Case Study
Experienced meditators often report spontaneous visual imagery during deep meditation in the form of lights or other types of visual images. These experiences are usually interpreted as an “encounters with light” and gain mystical meaning. (Caroline Di Bernardi Luft1,2*, Ioanna Zioga1, Michael J. Banissy2 and Joydeep Bhattacharya2, 2019)
Output:
Accordingly, providing spontaneous visual images during meditation helps the meditator to experience deep meditation experience more easily.

Roberts radio products are believed to have an important place in interior design. For this reason, with the iconic Robert product design approach it is aimed to set the mood of the users and support the style of their home.

A soft form, a smart product, fabric material, minimal metal details, a direct interface

For a modern approach, for a warmer user interaction, to continue Roberts Radio's design approach, for an easier and smoother user experience
Layer - 3: What does it evoke?
Seeing fabric evokes the feeling of "softness", seeing a
black screen evokes a "smart product", harmony in the use of
color evokes "holism", and the use of gray metallic color evokes "solidity".

In night mode, the illuminated composition of the LED matrix part makes ready people who have sleep problems at night into deep meditation, making it easier for them to fall asleep.
Functions such as setting the morning alarm or just listening to music on the speaker are performed from the phone application interface provided with the product.
In the morning mode, when the set morning alarm goes off, the light composition of the LED matrix piece imitates the sun, shining in a yellow and orange combination, allowing people to wake up to a bright environment in the morning.
